Mediation Training

The Safe Horizon Mediation Program provides one of the most intensive and respected mediation training programs. Out trainings exceed the requirements necessary for mediators who wish to mediate with a New York State Community Dispute Resolution Center, and the skills are applicable to mediators practicing in any context.

• Safe Horizon mediation trainings are taught by a NY State certified trainer with support from Safe Horizon staff and experienced mediators who serve as coaches.
• Our innovative training model uses interactive exercises, multimedia, real-life demonstrations, and role-plays to make learning fun.
• 34 CLE credits are available to NY State attorneys.

Apprenticeship Program

Upon completing a mediation training, our renowned 10-week Apprenticeship Program offers the opportunity to put your skills into practice.

• You will work in a small group with an experienced mentor to role-play, observe and mediate actual cases.
• Each group will meet for 3 hours a week at a designated day or evening time, in our Brooklyn or Manhattan community mediation centers or civil courts.
• After completing the Apprenticeship, our unique video evaluation process is the final step for mediator approval and certification.

Customized Organizational Training & Consulting
