If you are homeless and under the age of 24, contact us at 800.708.6600.

Life on the streets is always harsh, and homeless youth are especially vulnerable. Many have run away from violent or abusive homes, or from the foster care system.

Safe Horizon makes more than 19,000 contacts with homeless youth every year. If you or a young person you know is living on the street, we can help.

Our Streetwork program provides free services to young people up to age 24, including:

  • Emergency services including crisis housing, hot meals, showers and clothing
  • Medical services, including HIV prevention and assistance obtaining Medicaid
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Legal assistance
  • An opportunity to socialize in a safe, non-judgmental setting
